National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day Recipe

Once again, National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is upon us and us cookie lovers are rejoicing at the chance to celebrate this delicious national food holiday! Chocolate chip cookies are the traditional go-to, feel-good cookie that everyone can enjoy all year round, so why not celebrate them with a mouthwatering chocolate chip cookie recipe?

Here's what you’ll need:

1 ½ cups of softened butternational-cookie-day-ingredients

1 ¼ cups of granulated sugar

1 ¼ cups of packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon of vanilla

2 large eggs

4 cups of all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons of baking soda

½ teaspoon of salt

4 cups of semisweet chocolate chips (24 oz. bag)

First things first, we need to heat the oven to 350˚F. Then, in a mixing bowl, beat the butter, both sugars, vanilla and eggs. Once the mix is light and fluffy, stir in the flour, baking soda and the salt. At this point the dough should be stiff. Finally, with a spatula or spoon, stir in the chocolate chips and the dough is ready to go! Just remember to avoid eating any of the cookie dough (as tempting as it is) because the raw eggs in it aren’t good for you.non-stick-liner-rol

Now it’s time to get ready to bake! Line a baking pan with the Cooks Innovations Non-Stick Liner Roll. With this liner, there is no need for butter or oil and your cookies will slide right off the pan. Using a tablespoon, fill the pan with scoops of the cookie dough that have at least 2 inches of space between them.

Place your pan in the oven and bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until the cookies are a light brown color. We want the center of the cookies to still be soft. Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for 1 to 2 minutes and then transfer them to a cooling rack.

The best part of these cookies is that they can be stored in a jar and they won’t lose their soft, chewy goodness!
